I’m doing another review of Althea Korea | Philippines since it has been my go-to site for shopping Korean cosmetics, and that is because:
  1. Their shipping method is very convenient. My package is being delivered right at my doorstep; I need not go to the post office to claim it and be taxed further. Plus I get free shipping for orders P999+.
  2. Prices are lower than the normal retail price.
  3. They have numerous promos that’ll give you extra discounts and sometimes freebies.
  4. They have this “Sharing is Caring” promo every 3rd and 4th week of the month, which I get to have one item from my purchase for free. I use this promo when stocking up on my essentials.
  5. I love their boxes. I get excited every time I see their box.
  6. They have Dear, Klairs products.
Having introduced some Korean products into my skincare routine, these are the ones that I have repeatedly purchased from Althea:
  1. Dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner P1,056 P880
  2. Dear, Klairs Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad P336 P280
  3. Mamonde Rose Water Toner P740 P540
  4. Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Eye Patch P80 P50
  5. Moksha Dear Mask Orange P85 P51
I already had made a number of purchases from Althea, and I could say that I have grown to love their site since they tremendously helped me in getting access to some of my skincare and beauty essentials. So if you are new to it and would like to check it out, maybe you can maximize your experience by taking advantage of this referral link and get an extra P200 of your first order (expires on Sept. 2, 2017).

Toodles and enjoy!

Beauty MNL had been my second go-to website for skincare products this year. I think I was searching for an eye cream, in particular, either Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream or COSRX Honey Ceramide Eye Cream, that made me look into this site. Though they didn’t have the Mizon 25ml tub and had the 15ml tube sold out, I was relieved to see that they had the COSRX eye cream available.

Their free shipping pop-up box was quite persistent, but having the eye cream priced at P1,100 (it’s now P1,170), it was not such a bad idea to add some products to meet the P1,500 free shipping holiday promo. And I must say, their marketing tactics really worked on me because they also had a Tokyo raffle promo where you would get an entry for a minimum spend of P1,990. I grew up watching anime, batang 90s kasi, and had developed a liking to the Japanese culture, so yes, I gave in to the Tokyo promo.

I discovered the Althea website on the last week of December 2016. I stumbled upon it when I was searching for possible places to purchase Dear, Klairs products within the Philippines.

I had known about Klairs through Wishtrend TV and would really love to try out some of their products, but, unfortunately, Wishtrend's shipping method makes use of the post office, which meant that I still had to pickup my package from the local post office, and I didn't want to do that since our address is quite problematic (like when your house is in a specific city but your address is already covered by the boundary of another city).

Good thing that Althea ships directly to your doorstep. I got really excited upon discovering this website, so many skincare and makeup products from various Korean brands that you could choose from. I got even more excited to see that they were carrying most of the brands and products I was eyeing from Wishtrend.

A break from crafts and comics post, here is my first beauty-related entry. Never did I think that I’ll be writing beauty posts, but when 2017 came, I suddenly had the urge to up my skin care routine. So I was done looking for my makeup holy grails for the past years, and then it came to me that having a good skin is better than having a good makeup.

I looked into the Korean skin care routine. Well, it really is my love for The Face Shop that gravitated me towards this, because most of my makeup holy grails are from them. Lo and behold, I discovered websites where I can buy Korean products, and my craze just started.

This entry is a review on the third website where I purchased my Korean products from, Beauty in Seoul Philippines or beautyinseoul.com.ph. It is a relatively new website, I believe. I stumbled upon it on instagram and checked out the brands that they carry. I initially didn’t pay much attention to it because it didn’t carry most of the brands I was looking for, plus I didn’t really trust the look of their website at first sight. Oh, yes. Design is everything! I also tried searching for reviews about them, but didn’t find any, so I was still very skeptical, and just went back to the first two websites I was purchasing from.
